Mud Island
Owner/Developer: City of Memphis, TN

Project Type: Commercial
Project Category:  Government
Services: Irrigation, Landscape

Budget: $500,000+
Contract Type: Competitive Bid

Our first seven figure project, this museum/learning center created a park where the Wolf River harbor joins the Mississippi River and features a one mile long, operating replica of the Mississippi River from its inception to the Gulf of Mexico and adjacent planting indigenous (as far as practical) to that area of the river. Conceived and designed by Roy Harrover, it is probably his masterpiece of architecture; however, subsequent public body decisions and the development of stage shows in Tunica severally limited its use.
