This building was built as the headquarters of the combined companies just after the merger and was located adjacent to the old Plough headquarters on Jackson Avenue, which was opened in the late forties and also landscaped by us.

This is the first project on which used shredded hardwood bark as a mulch; heretofore all landscape contractors used cotton boll hulls which contained thousands of weed seeds and presented great maintenance problems. Like so many things, this was done without research but just trying to solve a problem and hoping we didn’t create one; the huge bark mulch business of today had its beginning on this project.
